CLIENT: Personal project
Using this highly detailed CAD model of a wrist watch the focus of this short cinematic was to tell a story while keeping the footage both minimalistic and abstract. Software used: Autodesk Maya, Maxon Redshift, SideFX Houdini, The Foundry Nuke and Adobe Premiere.

As part of the project I also produced still images at 6192x3483 px. Some rendered using a glass shader to show the intricate detail on the watch movement. Here are some comparisons with the glass render and the main render.

EARLY CONCEPTS
Initially I was thinking of going in a slightly different direction, using Houdini to grow tendrils out from the watch face. In the end I decided on going with something simpler and more minimalistic.
